Pre-concert chat with choreographer/stage director Michael Greyeyes at 7 pm on Friday, February 15.

Pre-concert performance: Young Artist Overture at 7 pm on Saturday, February 16.

In collaboration with Soundstreams Canada, Lawrence Cherney – Artistic Director, we are proud to present a major one-hour commission through Opera Canada of a sensitive oratorio for Chamber Choir, based on Cree mythology, composed by Melissa Hui. The text is by Governor General award-winning playwright Tomson Highway, with choreography and stage direction by Michael Greyeyes, and is set for narrator, with soprano and tenor soloists.
