An album that regroups 3 concerts of 3 big Orchestras (Orchestre
symphonique de Montréal, Orchestre symphonique de Québec, Toronto Symphony
Orchestra) to pay tribute to Jacques Hétu, one of the most
performed Canadian composers, both at home and abroad.
Hétu's Symphony No. Five for choir and
orchestra, opus 81, is featured on the Toronto Symphony Orchestras
portion of this CD. This 47 min. work features the Elmer Iseler Singers
and the Amadeus Choir, all under the direction of Peter Oundjian.
The other works on this CD are Légendes,
opus 76 and Variations on a theme of Mozart for three pianos and
orchestra, opus 79. |
