Jessie Iseler Honoured
On
August 30, 2009 Jessie Iseler received the President's
Leadership Award from Dr. Dean Jobin-Bevans, president of the
Board of Choir's Ontario. This award, "established in 2001 to
commemorate Choirs Ontario’s 30th anniversary, the President's
Leadership Award recognizes individuals who, through their support
or engagement in choral music-making, have made an exceptional
contribution to the promotion and advancement of choral music in
their communities. The 2009 Award will be presented to a choral
music supporter whose work as an administrator, volunteer, sponsor,
or donor has made a significant contribution to the choral art in
his or her community." Jessie Iseler, General Manager of the Elmer
Iseler Singers for many years, was selected to be the 2009
recipient.
