Soundstreams choreographer brings drama to a Russian devotional work “Saariaho’s contribution to the Soundstreams program was a choral setting of Tag des Jahrs by the German poet Friedrich Holderlin. The four movements – one for each season – were performed by the Iseler Singers, under their artistic director, Lydia Adams, accompanied by an electronic soundtrack. ...The trickiest movement was Autumn, which required some careful rhythmic synchronization between the electronics and the choir.
