Inaugural Concert: A Choral Extravaganza!
Join 60+ musicians on our opening night! The Elmer Iseler Singers, a professional 20-voice chamber choir based in Toronto, celebrates its 40th anniversary together with Collingwood’s very own ChoralWorks chorus and the new Collingwood Festival Orchestra.
The program begins with the spirited beauty of Mozart’s Divertimento in F major led by internationally renowned violinist Mayumi Seiler and pianist Daniel Wnukowski. Upon hearing a standard selection of choral works by the award-winning Elmer Iseler singers, we will be delighted by Hermann’s virtuosic Capriccio written for 3 violins. The concert ends on a festive note with Beethoven’s majestic Choral Fantasy for chorus, piano, orchestra and soloists.
