The Spirit of Nature: Celebrating the Festival of the Sound’s 40th Anniversary

Prelude concert at 2:00pm followed by refreshments.
In the first Toronto series concert, we will present the program set out at the opening concert of 40th anniversary of Parry Sound’s Festival of the Sound (which also coincided with our 40th anniversary year). The program will include the Toronto Premiere of “The Sound – A Musical Evocation of Georgian Bay” by Eric Robertson, text by Gary Michael Dault.

The Elmer Iseler Singers present guest artists the VIVA Youth Singers of Toronto Chamber Choir and their conductors, Carol and Brad Ratzlaff, in a concert featuring songs of peace and a performance of Choral Canada’s 2018 National Award winning Words, Stories, Truth: a Trilogy in Honour of Canada’s Indigenous Peoples by composer Mark Sirett and poet Vera Wabagijig, an Aboriginal poet and artist from the Mississauga First Nation and Wikwemikong Unceded Reserve community.
