The Elmer Iseler Singers and Lydia Adams are mentoring four emerging conductors in its 45th season: Nathan Gritter, Manishya Jayasundera, Deborah Park and Emily Taub. They will be conducting compositions by Canadian composers Eleanor Daley, Ruth Watson Henderson and Hussein Janmohamed, all Associate Members of the Canadian Music Centre (CMC).
The James T. Chestnutt (JTC) Educational Scholarship, created in honour of the choir’s long-standing chairperson, supports the development of professional choral singing and conducting talent and provides opportunity for emerging conductors and singers to perform with the Elmer Iseler Singers.
