Meridian Hall is a major performing arts venue in the St. Lawrence market neighbourhood of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It’s the country’s largest soft-seat theatre.
Located at 1 Front Street East, the venue opened as the O’Keefe Centre on October 1, 1960. From 1996 to 2007, the building was known as the Hummingbird Centre for the Performing Arts. From 2007 to 2019, it was called the Sony Centre for the Performing Arts before being renamed Meridian Hall on September 15, 2019.
In 2008 the City of Toronto designated the theatre a heritage building.
